Information on bicycle parking areas
In front of the house, we have installed a parking place for bikes. There you will find running water and brushes to clean yourself and your bicycle after your adventure. Bike shelters
Just like for the skis in winter, we have installed a shelter in summer for the perfect biking holiday for our guests. This room is locked and offers enough space for our guests’ bicycles. Tauern Cycle Path from Kaprun to Krimml
The Tauern Cycle Path between Zell am See-Kaprun and Krimml is 65 kilometres. The starting point is at MK Maiskogelbahn, not far from the Landhaus Lodges. It passes the most beautiful swimming lakes and valleys of the Pinzgau. Best of all, it can be ideally combined with a visit to the Krimml Waterfalls. Alternatively, on warm summer days you can cool off in one of the many swimming lakes along the route. The exact route description and many other tours of the region can be found in the link here.
One route, and the best one, is the one from Kaprun to Krimml, which can be completed on the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn. The local train has a separate carriage that can accommodate bicycles and stops in Fürth/Kaprun.
Kapruner Moos – direction Zeller See
How about a bike ride around Lake Zell on a hot summer day? Pack your swimwear and do not forget your picnic blanket! The first part leads past flowery meadows through the Kapruner Moos towards the Zeller Becken. At Bruck, you cross over to Haus Gabi, which is also the first swimming place on the route. After cooling off, continue the loop towards Thumersbach before enjoying an ice cream in Zell am See.
Tip:
On the loop of the lake, you should stop at one of the three beach clubs in Thumersbach, Zell am See or Schüttdorf (Seespitz). This should be the perfect way to round off your cycling holiday in Kaprun.
Cycling holiday at the Biketrails Kaprun
Maiskogel Trail
This trail was only opened in summer 2021. With its wide design, it is the perfect beginner’s trail for all cycling enthusiasts. It measures a total of 4.6 kilometres with many bends. The start is at the mountain station of the MK Maiskogelbahn at 1,570 metres. You can cycle up again at the Stangerbauer middle station at 1,137 metres. The valley station you need to enter the mountain railway is not far from the Landhaus. Address: Kitzsteinhorn 5, 5710 Kaprun.

Nearby Bicycle Trails in Leogang
The Eldorado of the bicycle scene meets in nearby Leogang. The Bikepark Leogang offers 12 different trails for all levels, everything a biker’s heart desires. Loegang is only about 25 minutes by car from Kaprun. This means that the biking experience can be ideally combined with a summer holiday in Kaprun.
